It took me a while to get past my weirdness about little girls in bikinis, until I realized that it's actually way easier for diaper changes. But I still prefer bandeau style tops or halters, so I was glad to see that Mama Om has added a few to their collection of designer girls' swimsuits this season.
I really like the subtly ruffled Blooming Berry girls bikini (also in a beautiful blue) for sizes 2T-6, which has beautiful floral embroidery across the chest that seems more age-appropriate than say, two cherries? It's nicely constructed, and I also like that the ties on the sides of the bottom are just for show so you don't have to worry about the suit coming out of the water after your daughter does.
There's also a big selection of the trendy triangle style bikinis, but personally, I'm just not there yet. The truth is, I'm more likely do do as the Europeans do and just skip the top altogether and order a pair of cute bikini bottoms separately. Just dooooon't forget the sunblock. -Liz
