World AIDS Day is today, and every day
The biggest health chatter in my town may be about swine flu, but we can't forget that AIDS is still a force to be reckoned with, especially among women and children who make up more than half of the people living with HIV worldwide. Today being  World AIDS Day, we thought we'd point out a few of the companies we've featured here, who regularly donate money to AIDS organizations and help those who really need it now. -Christina BUGABOO (PRODUCT)RED is a new initiative by the fabulous stroller company who recently announced they'll dedicate 1% of all proceeds to the The Global Fund to help fund AIDS programs in Africa for families and children. We also love Giggle's exclusive ADO(RED) Accessory Bundle to update the look of an existing Chameleon while supporting this great cause.

Skip Hop is one of our favorite mom-and-pop companies that made it big with their smart diaper bags and stylish toys and nursery solutions. We also support their philanthropy which dedicates a percentage of profits to the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Custom-anything usually costs a bundle which is why we are so smitten with the reasonably priced Make Your Own  Converse Sneakers. Pick a style with the signature red eyelet at the top and 10% of the wholesale price will be sent to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS.

Sharing takes on a whole new meaning with the sweet Twin Doll from Ten Thousand Villages. Handmade by Batsiranai artisans, one doll of every "twin" purchased goes to a child of a family affected by HIV/AIDS in Zimbabwe.

We've long loved Tiny Revolutionary, the coolest message-shirt company for kids and grown ups. Buy any one of their organic tees or sweatshirts, and they'll donate a dollar to children's charities like Ethiopian Orphan Relief which helps many kids orphaned by AIDS or infected by HIV themselves.

Thank you Cool Moms, for supporting the companies who make a difference.
