Erica Rosenfeld is not a friend whose jewelry I swipe, but an incredible Brooklyn artist who does fabulous things with glass techniques and beading. I've seen her inspired work go from a couple of local boutiques, to museum shops, to Barney's. (Hello!) And not surprisingly at all; her work is very wearable and well-priced for original art.
While she's constantly reinventing she remains true to a vision, which is rare for all but the best jewelry artists.
I am adoring a lot of her new work, which seems to be inspired by vintage photos and images of motherhood. I really like the glass and sterling earrings featuring mid-century photos of moms and babies. And I'm in love with the one-of-a-kind photo necklace (shown above) in the same line, although I'd have to seriously save up for it. Or wait...my birthday is coming up. -Liz
