It's official. Despite best efforts, I'm in full-blown gift panic mode... but only for the men in my life. My husband, dad, and brother are all tough cookies when it comes to presents. They all have something in common, though: the love of a good dress shirt.
But instead of heading to the store and picking out the same shirt that everyone else's husband, dad, and brother will unwrap this year, I'm giving my guys gift certificates to design their own custom shirts from scratch.

The site Blank Label (get it?) lets your style-conscious giftee design everything--collar, cuffs, and every stitch in between. Is he a gingham, contrast-collar, French cuff, covered-placket type? Or a broadcloth, slim-fit, wide-collar, no-pocket kind of guy? Let him decide and create his own custom shirts.
Shirts start at $45 which is amazingly reasonable for bespoke; as you add on fancier customization (monograms, say), the price gets a little higher. An average design-your-own shirt is in the $75 range. The shirts take about 3-4 weeks to ship.
