Problem is, we just discovered she has a mild latex allergy--her favorite bandages are now off-limits. Luckily, there's something new for her to use on her miniature bumps and bruises. Boo-Boo Cover-Up has the healing power of ointment mixed with the camouflaging capabilities of a bandage. It looks like a tube of concealer, but this tube is filled with good stuff that's also good for healing your skin: aloe, chamomile, green tea, tea tree oil, and vitamin E. So when my daughter put it on (supervised, naturally), I felt pretty assured that she wasn't patting random chemicals onto her barely-there boo-boo.
Boo-Boo Cover-Up isn't for open wounds; it's made for minor ouches. Right now, it comes only in a medium shade (light and dark are in the pipeline), but I tested it on one of those weird mystery leg bruises that we moms often end up with (seriously, where do they come from?), and it blends evenly, so you can almost fake it if your skintone is a bit lighter or darker.
The one drawback: at $19.99, it costs more than a box of Band-Aids. But for my latex-free, tree-climbing girl (and her obviously accident-prone mama), it's nice to have another option. -Lexi
