GreenEats makes dinner eco-friendly

I'm not shy at all about my love for eco-friendly Green Toys, so it's probably no surprise that I squealed a little (okay, a lot) when I heard they were launching a line of tableware for kids. Not toy tableware--the stuff you can actually eat off of.

And let me just say, the squealing? Totally warranted. Made from recycled milk jugs and completely free of BPA, pthalates and melamine--something that's tough to avoid in kids tableware-- the GreenEats line is simple, sturdy, and dishwasher safe.  We've been using the divided plates and tumblers for the last few weeks, and I have to say I'm super impressed with how well this line has stood the test of many meals and many washes.

The plates and cups are weighty, which is a nice change from the extremely light plastic that you tend to see with kids dishes; it actually makes it easier for littler kiddos to use, with less fear of spills.

While you won't find a huge range of colors, that's perfectly fine with me. All that means is less fights at the dinner table. Well at least about who has what plate, anyway. -Kristen
