Earth Day Pick - PaperStatement art and jewelry

Discovering the Paper Statement Etsy shop was like looking at your own perceived craftiness in the mirror and laughing at it. I am absolutely blown away by the things true artists can do out of paper and cardboard.

The first thing that caught my eye from German artist Dorisse is this very cool paper necklace made from corrugaged paper beads. It looks great with multi-colors like this, but the simple natural beads or single-color options are pretty amazing too.

Most of the jewelry is made to order, so you can specify length, color and other touches. There's even a custom book sculpture in the shop now for one customer, with a bookmark saying "Everyday is Mother's Day." The one thing you can't do: wear any of it out in the rain. -Liz
