When we first discovered AHA Life a while back, it was a bit like a high end flash sale site with a new, extremely well-curated item popping up every 24 hours. Unfortunately, the prices were a bit in the "well, a girl can dream, right?" category. Now the site has evolved with more items that are available for longer, and many at prices more of us can afford.
Of course this makes it more fun to browse around for great gift picks, and I was happy to find quite a few gifts that give back for a caring mama in your life--all under $50.
I was immediately captivated by the GIVE natural perfume oils which help support one of my favorite orgs, Women for Women International. For the same charity, there's also a very pretty--and affordable--sandalwood and amethyst bracelet.
And for a more activist mom, like mine, I'm really intrigued by the Whistle for Peace necklaces that start at $44, and benefit Falling Whistles which was developed to help rehabilitate women and children impacted by the war in The Congo. I'd imagine it would be quite the conversation starter.
The one thing: You do have to register for the site to be able to purchase. But at least you'll get $10 off your next purchase. So I suppose the gift will give back to you too. -Liz
