Let's face the facts: you might be Supermom to your kids, but you can't drive a Batmobile. Most of us don't want to be seen in Catwoman's black leather suit. And, much to my personal dismay, Christan Bale has yet to show up at my door, caped or otherwise.
Fortunately, you can now own your own, customized chunk of the Batman legacy. And you can wear it, too. The new custom DC Comics Converse sneakers just launched, and there's an entire world of superhero (and supervillain) action waiting to happen-- on your feet. Or your kids' feet, if they're over about age 4.
The designs focus on the four classic Batman characters: the Joker, the Riddler, Catwoman, and the Dark Knight himself, but they're fully customizable-- and I mean so customizable that it's kind of crazy. You get to choose prints or solids for the inside and the outside, a woven patch, lacing colors, toe bumpers, even the eyelet color. (It's not just baffling-- it's Riddling!)
The only downside I can see is that personally, I'm strictly a low-top girl, and the DC sneaks only come in high-top styles. But if you love your comics and you--or the menfolk in your life--like unique kicks, I think you'll purr like Catwoman in a sunbeam.~Delilah
