I've been noticing something in the land of designer bags these days. It's flashy. And shiny. And very, very cool. The metallic trend is popping up in handbags everywhere, but that doesn't mean that mamas can't be part of it, too with one of these 5 beautiful diaper bag options we tracked down.

No blindingly gold Studio 54 era bags either, promise. -Stephanie S.

We've always been fans of timi & leslie bags at Cool Mom Picks, and their gorgeous Hannah bag in Pewter bag is an affordable, durable option that just happens to be vegan-friendly, too since it's made of PVC-free faux leather. And I love that it comes with a cute matching clutch for date nights when you don't need a thing for the kids at all.

I love my Skip Hop Versa diaper bag. It's so room and versatile--so, uh, I guess it's aptly named. Plus it attaches so easily to my stroller with the non-skid stroller straps. There's a brand new pair of metallic options available, and I think the Bronze (above) is my fave. But the Graphite is also pretty awesome. And I love that these bags present a more affordable way to enjoy the metallic handbag trend, while offering all kinds of diaper bag bonuses to us mamas.

Maybe you just want a hint of well-placed metallic instead of the all-over flash of some of these other bags. And maybe, just maybe, you're a big fan of Mia Bossi luxury diaper bags. In that case, the Maria Disco diaper bag is a gorgeous--if splurgey--option. Good thing all Mia Bossi bags are 20% off this month.

I've got a Storksak diaper bag that has lasted through two of my kids and is still going strong. The new Graphite Tania Bee has the exact metallic gleam I'd love in a fall/winter diaper bag with the promise of durability that comes from Storksak. Plus, the lightweight nylon fabric means it won't be too heavy to lug around and will be easy to wipe clean when all the inevitable kid-messes strike.

I don't know about you, but I've been lusting over the bags from Cambridge Satchel Company for a long time. Of course, they aren't technically diaper bags, but as your kids get a little older and you're not hauling around 18 pounds of baby stuff, it's a great size for tossing in a spare diaper and wipes for a stylish short trip out of the house with the kiddo. Though I don't see any metallic options on their regular site right now, I do see a few available in the clearance section with minor flaws. And it looks like a flashy metallic silver version of the bag seen above is coming to J. Crew in a couple weeks.

I don't know about you, but I'm only too happy to ride the glimmery wave right now.
