Andy Warhol, Bugaboo, and so many twinkling stars. Can you think of a cooler combination?
Last week, the MoMA Design Store free author events for children continued in New York with none other than Andy Warhol. Of course he was not there himself (that would be a little weird--though very Andy) but we were excited to learn about a new board book out for children featuring some amazing new illustrations. What's more, there's a stroller to match. Really. So Many Stars is a beautiful board book, including never-before published images almost entirely from 1958. The collection was put together by none other than Bugaboo, as part of the Andy Warhol stroller collection we've recently featured. Their newest edition is the So Many Stars stroller, which happens to be pretty sweet; but should you be looking for a more affordable baby gift, the book is still pretty impressive.

The playful, childlike illustrations are absolutely perfect for little (and big) children, from cats to beach balls to a smart girl with a report card, to slippery spaghetti. And of course, that two-page spread of "so many stars" from a 1958 ink and tempera drawing that kids will love counting. Some of the drawings are pure originals, while some have been modified by publisher Mudpuppy, who always does a wonderful job with their books and children's gifts. But your kid won't care who did the original art, or even who Andy Warhol was or what a Bugaboo might be. They'll just be happy to admire the trapeze artist or count the strawberries. And of course, those wonderful stars. -Liz So Many Stars by Andy Warhol can be found online through the MoMA store. Find information about the Bugaboo Andy Warhol collection and the lovely new star fabric from Bugaboo.  Also, keep checking the MoMA Design Store in Soho for weekly children's events if you'll be in and around NYC in the coming weeks.
