My Olive Box Subscription
Recently we featured 10 of our favorite subscription box gift boxes, and as the market gets increasingly saturated, we have to work harder at paring down the good ones for you. (Sorry, I don't think you need to pay $35 a month for $9 worth of face cream samples.) So it's nice when a trusted shop we love jumps into the game, like Pink Olive. I've long admired this local NYC shop, which is so beautifully curated with lovely cards, gifts, and announcements, and they've just added an Olive Box card box subscription.

-Don't miss a limited time discount for Cool Mom Picks readers below-

Like the Hello Lucky card subscription that I found recently, Pink Olive hand selects 6-8 cards (and a few cute stickers) from top-notch brands and artists, and sends you a box every other month. In fact, their recent box included the cheeky Emily McDowell Valentine's Card we adore, and I spot lots of other CMP favorites too. There's also a Lifestyle Olive Box, a monthly subscription box which goes beyond cards to include notepads, art prints, journals, or little crafty finds all around a theme, like Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, or Paris.

The one thing: It's not cheap. The Lifestyle OliveBox subscription is $25 a month plus $7.95 a month shipping, and the card box is $25 every other month, though there are discounts for longer memberships plus free shipping on annual subscriptions. Still, they assure you that the value of each box will be the same or more than what you pay, and if you have a paper-crazy friend (waving hands here) or a design-conscious friend who has everything, this could be just the cheery sort of surprise she'll love. For the Olive Box card box subscription use discount code coolmompicks-10  for 10% off all subscriptions through 1/31/14.
