aden and anais for PROJECT (RED) swaddle collection
When it comes to charities helping moms and babies, I'm crazy supportive of (RED), a division of The ONE Campaign. Actually, we all are around here. Over the years, they've raised millions to bring life-saving anti-retroviral drugs to HIV+ moms and their babies in still-developing regions. It's amazing work, really, and they keep adding fantastic brand partners from tech companies like Apple and Mophie to Bugaboo. But their newest collaboration might be one of our favorites—burp clothes and swaddle blankets they've developed with the wonderful folks at aden + anais. Ooh, we're seriously excited about these. The aden + anais (PRODUCT)RED swaddles, dream blankets, and bibs will be live on the site starting tomorrow, July 1. They're the same fantastic baby products we've known and recommended (and bought tons of for every pregnant woman we know) only they've left behind the pastels for a bold red design.   Pretty perfect for summer Fourth of July babies, not to mention sweet Christmas gifts if you're thinking that far ahead. Or heck, any time at all. Because 10% of every purchase will go directly to the Global Fund to fight AIDS (the beneficiary of all (RED) monies) to provide essential programs and medicine that effectively prevents mother-to-child transmission of HIV. Look at it this way: If you buy one pack of swaddlers, a mom could get 12 days of life-saving antiretrovirals. $.40 a day may seem inexpensive to us, but in the most needy parts of the world, that amount is prohibitively expensive for parents. So by wrapping your own sweet baby in these gorgeous muslin wraps or bibs or burp cloths, you literally can help prevent the transmission of HIV to a newborn baby halfway around the world. It's pretty overwhelming when you think about it. (RED) is imagining a world where zero babies are born with HIV, and what we love so much about them is that their efforts could in part make this possible as early as next year. Let's do this. Buy your aden + anais (PRODUCT)RED swaddlers, dream blanket, or bibs starting July 1, and 10% of your purchase price will go directly to the Global Fund for AIDS to deliver life-saving medications to HIV+ mothers and babies. Our editor Liz is an active ambassador the ONE Moms and is among the board of advisors for the ONE Campaign's women and girls initiatives.
