Givenchy Noir Couture Mascara: Call us its new biggest fans.

I've been using the same awesome drugstore-brand mascara for as long as I can remember because, well, it works and costs me less than $10. But I was introduced to the Givenchy Noir Couture mascara on a recent trip to Sephora, and let's just say I've never seen my eyes look like this. Ever. In a good way. Consider this mascara a regular fixture in my makeup bag from now on. What's cool about this particular mascara is that it contains keratin and peptides, which means it gives your lashes a little extra boost of nutrients while making them look fabulous. And really, it does the latter in spades. It even has a brush designed to give a gentle curl to your lashes, with a difference you'll notice. I can hardly express just how smoothly it goes on, and get this: No clumps! I am honestly shocked. There's no issue with smudging either, and for someone who pretty much always ends up looking like a raccoon after a few hours, I'm impressed. It's also perfectly fine for contacts, which is a big deal to me since I wear mine pretty much 24 hours a day. I will say that if you like super gihugic voluminous lashes, this might not be your best option; though to be fair, I only put on a couple of coats. I imagine if you slapped more on you'd get bigger results. And I know, I know...there's no hiding the price tag, which is a huge jump from my drugstore favorite. But given how amazing it looks and feels on my eyes, I'm definitely a convert who's willing to scrimp a little elsewhere.
