By now, the fashion fans among us surely know about the Pantone colors of the year, a dreamy serenity blue and a pretty rose quartz. While the colors were announced during the winter, I know I'm not generally big on pastels until the weather warms up. Which means that now, I'm excited to check out some new rose quartz handbags in particular.
New accessories can be a fast, affordable way to get your wardrobe on trend without swapping out every item you own. Or...a fast, not affordable way to get your wardrobe on trend. Totally depends on your budget. (Or the budget of a generous partner or child on Mother's Day, hint.)

Adidas by Stella McCartney neoprene backpack | $190, Net-a-Porter Adidas and Stella McCartney recently partnered for an unexpected but fun collaboration and one of the results is this cool croc-effect neoprene backpack. I love it as an alternative to a traditional handbag if you want to go hands-free. However it also doubles as a side shoulder bag. Triple zipper backpack | $122.50 on sale, Neiman Marcus Last Call Another rose quartz backpack that caught my eye is this triple zipper backpack which gets you real leather for a nice price. The medium-size bag is a great everyday bag if you're not carrying the world on your shoulders. (In a literal sense.) Contrast city bag | $49.90, Zara We still love the color-blocking trend, this two-tone bag does it subtly and beautifully. We're a little split on the black fringe tassel -- Liz loves how it holds together the black underside of the handle, while I could live with just pink and might remove it. Small shoulder bag | $9.99, H&M For those rare instances I'm not with the kids (I know, crazy talk), I like the idea of this lightweight, little convertible clutch at an amazing price. Just know there are only a few left online and they'll probably go fast. Unlined Rebecca Minkoff feed bag | $325, Rebecca Minkoff Heading into designer handbag territory, you'd definitely be treating yourself this spring if you splurge on this gorgeous feed bag from Rebecca Minkoff. Made of leather, the crossbody design gets a little edge with some rockin' studs, but brings back the practicality with wide shoulder straps and convenient outer pockets. Rebecca Minkoff Lola Backpack in Pale Blush | $375, Nordstrom Another cute Rebecca Minkoff find: This fun, rose quartz backpack that converts into a cross-body bag making it very wearable. Maybe that helps justify the price? Longchamp Le Pliage Heritage Leather Satchel | $1060, Nordstrom Okay so for most of us this handbag will remain on the "I can only dream" list. But hey, Mother's Day is coming up so...maybe someone will find a spare $1k in a coat pocket somewhere and take a trip to Nordstrom for us? Okay. We'll keep dreaming.
