Seuss-Inspired Modern Christmas Stockings ($32.42+, Good Wishes Quilts)
Our editor Liz bought 6 of these fun stockings in her own Christmas collection several years ago -- one for each kid (and kid-at-heart adult) and she loves them to no end. So you can tell we're already fans of this lovely mom-run shop -- and the feeling is apparently mutual! Thanks to the owner Anne, who gave us a shout-out with her beautiful new ombre metallic frost Christmas stockings at the top of this post! We love them so much! You can have items personalized with an initial, a name, a monogram, or just identify them by color. But be sure to place your order by December 1 (if not sooner) for Christmas delivery. Her stuff goes FAST.
Personalized Modern Christmas Stocking ($30.51, Bye Bye Birdie England)
Simple will always be in style, and this canvas-lined stocking does that beautifully. It's available in several sizes, including a small six-incher — which means small and simple stocking stuffers too. Nice! Handmade in England, it will take 3-5 days after ordering for your personalized stocking to ship, so be sure to check international shipping rates and times with the shop.
Personalized Linen Christmas Stockings ($36, Beek)
I'm not a fan of linen when it comes to my skirts or pants (it's the constant creasing, people!), but it turns out I'm totally down with it for a slightly rustic, un-fussy handmade Christmas stocking. I love these stockings' bold, colorful lettering for the personalization — and because each is lined with cotton, the stocking will keep its shape and not turn into one big wrinkle. 1-2 weeks to ship so order soon!
Modern rustic personalized felt Christmas Stockings ($38, Lollie Couture)
They call these handmade Christmas stockings rustic but I find them quite modern with the graphic tree and personalized hang tag over bold grey, white and red felt. So, let's go with "modern rustic." The prices are nice too, with discounts when you've got more than one to hang. Which you do.
Personalized Batik Christmas Stockings ($10+, Sew Happy Life)
Wow to these batik stockings! They bring back a lot of memories, especially if you went to summer camp in the '80s (ahem). And yet the technique looks surprisingly cool and modern on Christmas stockings, don't you think? It's hard to tell from the picture, but the white cuffs (which you can personalize with a name) are dusted with silver glitter, so they're way more festive than anything from summer camp.
