My favorite sandals might have just become more favorite-r.

For years, I have raved about TKEES sandals, and for good reason. More fashionable than rubber flip flops but just as comfy, they've become my summer shoe staple. And they hold up so well, even while taking a pounding on NYC streets, that I can justify owning a whole shoe rack full of them. (Seriously). This is also why I can also justify adding one more style to my growing collection: The new Austen Jo Suede TKEES. I tend to prefer leather in the summer ordinarily, but black suede is such a smart way to jazz up the look for a summer party or schmancy bbq, when you're just not up for a pair of heels sinking into the grass all night. (You know what I'm talking about.) Plus I love the not-too-gladiator-ish ankle wrap, which feels both modern and timeless, and elevates the TKEEs from mere flip-flop. There's also a nice looking caramel suede color called Autumn, which is perfect if you want a smart sandal to pair with those summer whites and tans. TKEEs sandals are spendy, but they last. Especially when you own lots of pairs, carefully collected over the years, so you can alternate among them all spring and summer long. Ahem. Of course if you want to start simpler, try the matte black leather Liners TKEES, avail at Net-A-Porter (that's an affiliate link BTW).
