I feel like the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has come around at just the right time. While it may be still be sweltering out, there's something about browsing fall's hot trends that gets us pumped for sweater weather. (And uh, lower A/C bills.)

I've owned a similar "cheapie" faux moto jacket for years and people ask where I got it because a great jacket is a great jacket at any price. It jazzes up nearly any outfit, and you'll get so much use out of it! Plus sizes avail too. ($64.90 on sale, regularly $98) Psst...notice the faux animal print skirt? Vince Camuto Gigetta Bootie

Adidas Gazelle Sneaker
Looking to trade up your ratty sneakers? Loads of sneakers and athletic shoes on sale, from high-performance to "I'm just looking cute running errands." I have this exact bag in black (or at least it's really similar; sometimes it's hard to tell!) and I swear by it. So much so, I would absolutely get it in this gorgeous caramel color. And no, you cannot have too many handbags -- especially handbags bought on sale. Look around for even more.

If you want to splurge on one designer dress, I'm in love with this floral print with just a hint of metallic. You can totally wear it right now, but it will look amazing into the fall with chunky booties and...well, see the moto jacket below. ($299 on sale, regularly $465)

I live in long cardis three seasons out of the year, because they're so versatile. This one is beautifully shaped at a great price, comes in 5 colors, and I like the longer knee-length that's back this season. Note: If you're a larger-busted gal like me, opt for a full-cup True & Co bra. (I've been meaning to do a review but I'm behind! TLDR: It's very comfortable, and offers more support than you'd, think but isn't like a substitute for an underwire.) It's only on sale in a racer tank style and I can't say that it would give you great support for aerobic workouts, but for walking or yoga, I bet it's great. ($37.90, regularly $58)
