To make this line, Nike designers used more than 150,000 body scans (!) of pregnant and non-pregnant women to be sure that the clothing works for all kinds of shapes. And I love that they feature real pregnant models so we can really envision what the clothes might look like on us.
Hooray for no fake bumps that look like my grandma's throw pillow shoved up someone's shirt!
They're athletic for sure, but you know...you still see some booties with those bumps.

The Nike maternity line includes leggings, sports bras, and some very sharp pullovers that I would totally wear even when not pregnant. The medium-support sports bra (sizes XS-2XL) and scoop-neck tank (sizes 0-18) are even designed with breastfeeding in mind, which is great news if you've ever spent precious time wrestling with a regular sports bra while trying to nurse at the Y. Just me? I also appreciate that while the entire premise of the line is to support the relationship between "motherhood and sport," it's not in a you-should-be-kickboxing-while-8-months-pregnant kind of way. Overall, Nike seems to just want to encourage women to just keep moving. I'd say that's great advice for all of us these days. The new Nike maternity line is now available on the Nike website. Some items are sold out and will be restocked, others are brand new and shipping soon!
